the default shell in AIX is ksh. To make available the history, type 'set -o vi' from the shell. After that you can use 'k' for upward and 'j' for downward arrows. Another option is to use bash shell. For this, after login to the k-shell, type 'bash' or make bash as the default shell in configuration file.

Thank you... But the command 'bash' will work in ksh?
"bash" is the command to change your shell to bash.. if the bash is installed on the server it will work...
